About StoryZoo
Where stories spark curiosity, creativity, and meaningful discovery
Creating early childhood learning through the magic of storytelling.
StoryZoo is a global edutainment brand for children aged three to eight. Through interactive mini-games, structured learning themes, and real-world lessons, StoryZoo fosters creativity, imagination, and curiosity in early learners.
At the heart of each StoryZoo Adventure are three lovable animal characters—Pepper, Bax, and Pax—who guide children through themed episodes filled with foundational learning and real-life context. These stories not only entertain but also introduce valuable teaching moments.
Whether it’s ecosystems, animal behavior, art, space, or human impact on the planet, every episode is crafted to teach at least three meaningful facts, encouraging discovery, reflection, and joy in learning.
Foundational learning
Building early trust with the brands they’ll grow up using.
StoryZoo’s groundbreaking digital learning template helps children connect what they see on screen with the world around them.
Developed in partnership with the Goethe Institute in 2017, the model blends animated storytelling with real-world context to make learning memorable and meaningful.
Each episode introduces core lessons through repetition, live-action moments, and thematic storytelling, reinforcing knowledge while encouraging curiosity and reflection.
It’s learning that sticks—and scales.
For brands, it means early engagement with a generation growing up in a values-first, story-driven world, where brand trust begins early.
Foundational learning meets joy, imagination, and gentle screen time.
Not all stories are created equal.
StoryZoo’s content blends foundational learning with real-world skills, gently tailored for children aged three to eight—and loved by parents too.

From fatherhood to founder: a mission-driven journey
Johannes Gropp
CEO and Founder
StoryZoo was founded in 2016 by veteran television and content producer Johannes Gropp. The father of two young children wanted to create content that his children could make connections with and interact with rather than just consume passively in front of the television.
For the past 20 years, Johannes has led multi-disciplinary teams of professionals creating beautiful content aimed at international VOD and TV platforms. He’s been in the TV production business for more than 20 years, including Endemol and Sony Pictures Television in London as the Director of Interactive Media, licensing and social media, and in the Netherlands, developing new TV formats that can generate an interactive revenue stream, including real-life and kids content.
He has managed global licensing in 35 countries in ten different languages, managed brand exploitation (music, merchandise, etc.), and initiated new business with major partners such as the Van Gogh Museum, the European Space Agency (ESA), the London Symphony Orchestra, and more.
He has worked on world-renowned formats like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Big Brother, and developed excellent networking skills, a keen eye for business opportunities, and the ability to work with $20+ million budgets.
Early influence, lasting brand value.
The most forward-thinking brands know they can’t wait to connect with
Gen Alpha and Gen Beta.
They need to plant the seed early, through stories that teach, inspire, and build brand trust over time.
Brand trust doesn’t start later. It starts now.
This is how your brand can build relevance, values, and recognition from the very beginning.
The most powerful brand stories start before they’re customers.
StoryZoo gives you that early connection, through content that kids learn from and remember.
Want your brand to be part of what they learn, trust, and remember?
Start now—while stories still shape how they see the world.
This is how early brand influence begins.
Trusted, story-driven content that stays with them as they grow.
